Hope For Animals - Clear Creek Rescue formerly known as the Clear Creek County Animal Rescue League (CCCARL) is a 100% volunteer organization. Hope for Animals is constantly striving to place rescue animals into great homes. We are always in need of volunteers and donations.
Please note that Hope For Animals - Clear Creek Rescue and the Clear Creek/Gilpin Co. Animal Shelter are two separate, independently managed organizations. Hope For Animals - Clear Creek Rescue saves animals from several shelters in the region, most who are in danger of being euthanized, and finds temporary living situations for them until they are adopted.
All Hope For Animals - Clear Creek Rescue animals are living in boarding facilities or foster homes. The animals featured on this website are
Hope For Animals - Clear Creek Rescue animals and others that
do not live at the shelter.

NEW! HFA is taking part in educating the next generation. Dogs and Cats Colorado Style Magazine is featuring two great short stories on responsible animal ownership starting with vaccinations to spay and neuter, to obedience classes, to teaching your dog to go potty outside and more. HFA volunteer Jennifer Bell is assisting the author in going to local Colorado elementary schools to read these stories to children.
‘We have a foster dog that is great with children, a good visual addition to the story and patient for question and answer time for the kids. We have done this at one school so far and the response from the librarian was tremendous. She allowed us to take some library time to read to the children, and then she had some books on pets for them to check out. She thought the kids were very responsive and enjoyed the stories.’
If anyone has a great relationship with their children's school or has a name and number of someone I can contact at their school, we would love to come in and do this. We would need at least 30 minutes of time to read and answer any questions. Or, please have them contact Jennifer Bell at 720-404-3368.
Animal ID microchips: The City of Brighton Citizens and surrounding areas are welcome to make an appointment to have their dog's and/or cat's micro chipped with a Home Again chip, the fee for the implant is $20.00 which includes chip registration with the Home Again database. The Home Again microchip implant is a great way to insure your animals return home when they become lost without a collar and tags. All shelters, humane societies and veterinary clinics scan animals coming in to identify an animal that has been implanted. You can view more information on the City of Brighton website.
GOODSEARCH
GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it’s powered by Yahoo! Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter CCCARL or CCR as the charity you want to support. If 500 people searched using Goodsearch four times a day, it would raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! You can also download a Goodsearch toolbar. Spread the word to your family and friends.
